BRENDA'S AGILITY TRAINING CENTER

Located in the Northwest part of Las Vegas, Nevada, the agility training center is located on a 100’ x 300’ lot that is home to Brenda Morris and her Maltese family. The training center itself is 160’ x 50’ and provides plenty of space for working sequencing sets or running a full course. The lawn is flat and well manicured for excellent footing. The Teeter and A-Frame used in the Beginner class can be broken down to a flat position and raised inches at a time. The Dog Walk can be lowered to a 2’ height for early training as well.

about brenda

Brenda has been an educator for the past 33 years, 29 of them as a Physical Education Instructor at a Middle School. In 1970, she purchased her first Maltese and a few years later, won the National Maltese Sweepstakes with her Maltese, Faye. By 1980 she began training in obedience as an addition to her breed work. She was the Obedience Trial Chairman for Vegas Valley Dog Obedience Club for over seven years before she discovered agility. It was Katie Herbers, who has since moved to southern California, who pushed Brenda into an agility class that Katie was offering and it only took one lesson for Brenda to realize how fun this sport was. After less than a year with Katie, Brenda began buying equipment and changing her yard from an obedience training facility to an agility training facility.

Brenda retired as a public school instructor in June of 2002 and is now able to offer private classes as well as the group classes. Besides a Beginner class, Brenda opens her training facility on Tuesdays thru Thursdays for open practices.
